People have asked me recently “So, how do you feel about school starting back?” I’ve found myself tongue tied every time I try to respond…mixed/torn/excited/sad. Is that an answer?
1. I LOVE A NEW SCHOOL YEAR. New school supplies, back to school outfits, perfect classroom organization, the suspenseful class rosters, fresh ideas, catching up with teacher friends, developing a class community…love all of it! I seriously have a hard time sleeping the night before because I get just as excited/nervous as the kids do! I was worried that after I had a child, this might change but I’m happy to say that the thrill is still here! However, what has changed is what I’ll be leaving every day to return to the job I love…

Can you see why I’m torn? While I’m so excited to go back to a job that I truly love, I’m going to miss the heck out of my little boy!! Chap was out of town for most of the summer (which was a huge bummer), so it has literally been me and Winn every second, of every day. I know it’s going to be an adjustment (probably more for me than him) getting back into the school routine. But one thing I know is certain; I am one lucky lady to have a little boy that I’m crazy in love with AND a job that I couldn’t be more passionate about!

I have loved this summer more than any other. We’ve made some pretty fun memories that I will cherish always!! The best part is, I think next summer will be even better! I LOVE YOU ALL THE WAY TO THE MOON AND BACK!
