Odds & Ends

So sad, today is the last day of summer vacation for me. This has been my very first ‘summer break’ that I haven’t worked Challenger (thank you budget cuts), and besides the fact that I’ve had to limit my spending dramatically, it’s been really nice. Even though I’ve done so much this summer, my ‘to do’ list seems longer now than it did at the beginning of the summer. How does that work?? Anyway, I’m sure I’ll be extremely busy the next few weeks (which I’m hoping makes time fly so I can meet my little guy!) so I wanted to post another update before returning back to my kiddies tomorrow.

Things are still going well. I had an appointment last week and the doctor said that we definitely did LOTS of growing this past month which is good and that Baby Winn sounds healthy and very happy. My iron is a little low, but we’re hoping with some modifications in my diet things will be back on track in no time! I’ve only had to call the ‘advice nurse’ two times so far…which I’m very proud of myself about (I tend to freak out at the smallest things, but both times they said it was smart that I called and to come in for a visit…making me feel a little less crazy).

25 Weeks

I have to share this also, it’s probably one of the most special gifts we’ve received for Baby Winn. One of my great friends, Colly, had her mom make this special sweater for him. When we got it in the mail we immediately looked for the tag to see where the heck it came from because it was freakin’ cute! Can you believe someone can make something so beautiful?? We are very excited for Winn to wear this. Thank you so much Colly and Janet! His sweater hangs on display over his crib for everyone to see!

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer as much as we have! Going back to school is such an exciting time. My classroom is all set up, and has been for a few weeks now (huge dork, I know). Is it weird that I still get anxious, nervous, and thrilled about the first day of school??? Anyway, I’ll keep the updates coming as much as I can! Keep your fingers crossed for a sweet class that is very nice to their pregnant teacher! :)

If they're not nice, you can just give them the Tori Spelling baby belly whack! Good luck!

Hi Heather! I am finally getting the chance to catch up on all the blogs I love to read and glad to hear that your pregnancy is going well. I am hitting the 20 wk mark on Sunday and we get to find out what this little one is on Monday. Super excited about that! It is starting to fly by really fast. Good luck with school starting back! I am sure the next 14 weeks will go by really fast for you and soon you will get to hold your little man!!!! :)

See, I told you that you needed to be on that billboard!!! ;-) Good luck with your new class, just thinking about the first day of school makes my stomach turn a little, so I don't think it's strange at all that you should be nervous as the teacher!! But you know they're gonna love you! Thanks for the shout out, that sweater is the hotness, HOLLAAA!!! =)
